Privacy

The app

Memlatch is a local-first household vault. Documents, photos, notes, and extracted fields are stored on the phone that holds the key. We do not need an account. We do not upload your vault to run the product.

  • Unlock is a PIN or biometrics on that device.
  • Facts stay sealed until you reveal them.
  • Optional backup is an encrypted file you keep. It is not automatic iCloud or Drive.
  • If you later turn on sync, it is end-to-end encrypted ciphertext you choose to move. That is not on by default.
  • Optional language help (a model you bring) is off unless you switch it on. Mode off stays offline.

We cannot read your vault. We cannot reset a forgotten PIN from the cloud. If the device is gone and you have no backup file, the data is gone.

This website

memlatch.com is a static page. It does not set an account cookie. It does not run product analytics or advertising. If you email hello@memlatch.com, we only see what you send.

The page is hosted on Vercel. Their servers will see normal web logs (IP, browser) as any host does. We have not turned on Vercel Analytics.

What we are not

Memlatch is not DigiLocker and does not issue government-authentic copies. It is not a password manager. It does not silently fill forms on other sites.
